The KAWS x Air Jordan 4 Retro is a collaboration between the Jordan brand and Brooklyn street artist KAWS (aka Brian Donnelly). The design eschews the shoe's traditional plastic accents and features a premium grey suede upper and midsole all around. The heel tab also features KAWS' 'XX' branding, and in March 2017 the shoes were released alongside a small capsule collection including trainer jackets, hoodies, t-shirts and hats. The release of the shoes caused such a backlash that an in-store raffle at Patta in London was met with a public reading of the riot act by the police, and sneakerheads hacked Donnelly's website for a chance to win the shoes.
